Today I simply made it for my family. I got bored of Indian desserts and wanna make something different. It’s Just right size, right number of servings for a family of four :-). Well my kids don’t have a sweet tooth so I might end up taking 2 servings 😝.
And finally it came out perfect and everyone loved it.

Total time:
45 minutes (35 min baking time)
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 1 can (14 oz) peaches
- 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter
- 5 tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 cup Unbleached flour
- Pinch of salt
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence
- 1 Egg
Peach Cobbler Recipe
- Pre heat oven to 350F
- Melt 1/4 th cup Butter.
- In a baking pan (I used Loaf Pan) place Peach slices in bottom. I used canned Peaches (14 oz can). You can also use fresh Peaches. I discarded the Syrup from can. Optionally you can save it, add to batter for more Peachy flavor.
- Add 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp melted butter to Peaches.
- In a bowl , add 1/2 cup Unbleached flour, 1/2 tsp Baking soda, pinch of salt, 4 tbsp sugar. Mix.
- Add 1 egg, 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence, rest of melted butter to the above bowl.
- Mix well. It’s a thick batter. I am aiming for a crispy top. If you want, you can thin batter with 2-3 tbsp Peach syrup or Milk.
- Pour/drop batter on top of Peaches.
- Spread with a Silicone Spatula to cover Peaches.
- Place in Pre heated oven, bake for 30-35 minutes till you see a golden brown top. If Mine took 32 minutes.
- Remove from Oven. Let it cool down to room temperature. Scoop out and serve as it is or with Ice cream on top.
- You can use Cinnamon powder instead Vanilla flavor.
- Double the ingredients for more Servings and you can use a 8/8 or bigger Baking pan.
- You can chop Peach slices and use smaller pieces if you prefer.
