Spicy Roasted Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans)/Masala Senagalu -Tea time Snack

Chick peas or Garbanzo beans or Senagalu are popularly known for making Chole or Chana masala, A spicy curry from Indian cuisine. Also another popular recipe is Hummus from Mediterranean cuisine. These happened to be my favorite too. But my most favorite chickpea recipe is this spicy and crunchy oven roasted chick peas. Also these are healthy as they are not fried but roasted in oven.

The recipe works as a great snack for adults and kids. Instead of chips serve kids these crunchy chickpeas which would you be the healthy choice. They can be packed to work as a snack. You can fix a salad and top it with these chick peas for some crunch n nutrient punch. Can be had with cup of Tea. The possibilities are endless. Find your favorite way.

Chick peas are a great source of proteins, fiber, Iron along with Carbs. Lentils/Beans are major vegetarian protein sources.

The recipe is pretty simple. The preparation is pretty minimal. You can store these for couple of days ( they never lasted longer than that as we all love munching on them). So I donno whether they last longer than that😀. You can add any flavors n seasonings to them. I made them moderately spicy. You can add more chilli powder if you wish.
