Mango Strawberry Ice cream shake

Written By Praveena Gudipati on Monday, August 10, 2015 | 8:52 PM

Mango is my most favorite fruit. I love Indian mangoes. They are really sweet.I miss mango season in India. At my home it is a daily ritual during summer, my mom would put few mangoes in water (taken from the clay pot) before we start lunch . She says this would enhance the sweetness of mangoes. Then by the time we come to eating the Yogurt rice she would cut the mangoes and bring em to us and we used to relish em on the side. Yogurt rice and mangoes taste yummy. Also I have seen people eating em on the side with pickle rice.

Though I do not like to use canned goods there is one exception.I love the canned Mango pulp. It’s finger licking good, literally :-).It’s next best thing to sweet, juicy mangoes.I try to keep a can of mango pulp handy most of the time.It is available in any Indian store.I particularly love the Kesar variety.Mango pulp helps me whip up a quick beverage for unexpected guests.I already have many recipes on the blog using Mango Pulp.If you have fresh sweet mangoes handy you can use em instead mango pulp.Do check my Mango Mousse, Mango Strawberry smoothie, Mango Lassi and many mango recipes on the blog.I have give recipe links below.

This is my third beverage with mango berry combo.I love the combination. Since summer is already at it’s peak in Texas, often I’m in the mood for some thing chilled, especially when I’m outside. What would be better than having a cold n thick milk shake and slurping it while driving. All of sudden I’m in love with those thick shakes. Since I used Mango pulp in this recipe which is already a liquid I did not use milk.Coz as I said I want a thick milk shake and adding milk would make it thinner. Since no milk I called it Ice cream shake:-).A thick mango strawberry ice cream shake.Love the taste and love the color and love the consistency. Totally in love with it:-).I can have it for breakfast, snack, to quench my thirst or just like that any time.

Totally tempting Ha! Then proceed to the simplest recipe.
